Onwards towards Calleja

The reading went smashingly, thanks to everyone who came out. We had a good crowd, and a goodly talk afterwards and now the real work begins on revising the next draft.

Additionally, work continues on PLAGUED- my musical about the bubonic plague. We are finishing up the first act, and diving head long into the second soon. The hope is to do a reading/recording this summer, with a small workshop in the fall- but we shall see.

A definite thing that is happening, as a result of my winning the weekly Metropolitan opera ticket lottery, is that I will be going to the Met on Saturday to see their latest incarnation of Rigoletto. The production stars two singers who I have heard are good, and who I have not seen: Joseph Calleja and Diana Damrau. Calleja has been getting accolades all over the place, many comparing him to tenors of yore (most notably Bjorling), so we shall see if he lives up the hype.
