Synopsis

Based on the novella "Taras Bulba" by Nicolai Gogol, Bulba is an rollicking romantic epic set in 13th century Ukraine in camp of the bloodthirsty Dneiper Cossacks. Led by their tyrannical warlord Taras Bulba, the Cossacks will conquer and destroy all that come before them in the name of their One True God. When Taras' youngest son- Andrei- dares to question this way of life in the name of love, father and son are brought face to face in a battle to the death to determine the fate of the Cossacks. Bulba is a swashbuckling adventure, full of songs, sword fights and a love that cannot be.
