The weekend!

Saturday, I went to NYC Comic Con with a friend and perused the fandom that ensued. The highlight (at least for me) was meeting and getting the autograph of video game legend, Sid Meier.

Sid Meier is the creator of the “Civilization” line of games- which I spent probably half my teenage years playing. They are always written as “Sid Meier’s Civilization” or “Sid Meier’s Pirates!” so it was strange to be finally putting a face to a name, let alone a regular sized person who can shake your hand to a name.

Sunday I finally watched the movie Brain Donors, a movie I’ve been meaning to watch forever because of my undying love of the Marx Brothers. As a Marx Brother’s fan, it was very entertaining to see a sort of frame by frame tribute to them and all their best bits in one tightly knit movie. I laughed. It’s true. 

That said, I would rather watch a Marx Brothers movie.  Because nobody does the Marx Brothers like…The Marx Brothers. Because they’re the Marx Brothers. Still a fun movie though.
